Steam or a DRM-free download?

The Steam edition lists macOS support, achievements, and trading cards. It has no ads or in-app purchases and a US list price of $4.99. Check the Steam store for the current system requirements.

The itch.io edition includes a DRM-free Mac download, Windows and Linux downloads, and a Steam key for $4.99. Version 3.2.2 includes 160 boards; the Mac download contains Intel and Apple silicon builds.

A note about the Mac download.

The itch Mac app is signed but not notarized. macOS may show a warning when you first open it; follow the launch instructions on the itch page. If you prefer to try the game before installing, start with the browser demo.

What kind of mahjong is this?

Meow-Jong is single-player mahjong solitaire, not the four-player table game. Two tiles match when their cat pictures are identical. A tile is free when nothing covers it and at least one side is open. Read the rules.
